The Learning and Development Specialist will lead strategy, design and implementation of the organization's learning programs to drive performance, increase employee engagement, inspire technical excellence, and drive employee and leadership development.
Success in this role depends on the ability to translate the goals of the business into formal learning strategies and solutions, including design and delivery of programs utilizing internal and external resources.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive company-wide Learning and Development Program by leveraging existing learning strategies and curricula and introducing new solutions to create an effective and sustainable program.
Collaborate with learning champions and technical leaders across the organization to assess current requirements, identify gaps and create learning solutions based on their needs assessment and recommended learning methods.
Consult with business leaders and key stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the business.
Create and implement structured programs to foster continuous career development in all areas of the business and at all levels of experience.
Develop and implement metrics to accurately assess the effectiveness of the learning programs on business performance objectives; implement changes to improve effectiveness.
Administer learning programs, including planning, scheduling, communicating, and ensuring timely completion.
This may include programs offered to non-employees.
Establish standards for record-keeping systems (LMS) to ensure compliance with quality requirements and increase accessibility to records.
Increase employee engagement through coaching with managers and employees regarding career development planning, goals and execution.
Recommend learning programs considering adult learning principles, available platforms, and external providers to ensure meaningful and engaging transfer of learning.
Deliver and/or facilitate training content.
Support HR activities including, but not limited to, company communication and tuition reimbursement program administration.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field Professional designation in Adult Learning preferred Minimum 8 years' experience with program design and implementation KEY COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrated results in the design of learning solutions for technical and non-technical programs.
Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems Experience with learning needs and performance gap analysis Demonstrated ability to assess and report on effectiveness of learning programs Excellent interpersonal skills including coaching and collaboration experience
