Cashier/Customer Service

POSITION SUMMARY:


Provide guests with outstanding, friendly service in an efficient manner.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • Hands-on, high volume restaurant setting

  • Non-Smoking

  • Work area includes food, ovens, fryers, food processors, knives, slippery floors, and possibly extreme heat.

  • Constant interaction with employees and guests


EXPERIENCE:


Some experience in retail or restaurant environment or with customer service.


TECHNICAL SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS:


Basic knowledge of POS systems


Ability to read company materials (ie. Training materials, charts, recipes etc.)


Complete California Tortilla training program and pass position quizzes


Proven customer skills demonstrate an outgoing and genuine personality

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bend, stoop, and reach to stock shelves, serve customers and clean store

  • Stand and walk on hard floors for 8 hours per day

  • Quickly identify safety placards (ie. wet floor sign) and hazardous situations to avoid or minimize injuries and property damage.

  • Identify food quality through taste, texture, color and odor.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Product knowledge

  • Proper portioning of products, beverages and paper supplies

  • Suggestively sell Fresh Deals, desserts, beverages and promotional items

  • Restock station

  • Set up bags and portion controlled items for Burrito Line

  • Dining room cleanliness

  • Bathroom cleanliness

  • Packaging for Phone In Orders

  • Communicate with other team members about product quality, product shortages, and customer comments.

  • Accurately ring up orders and make change

  • Accountable for all cash, coupons, and promotions

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restaurant (specifically your work area)

  • Other duties as assigned by management


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
